Overview

The Urgent Care Physician Assistant position at Agile Occupational Medicine in Redding, California offers an independent role focused on delivering quality care in occupational medicine. This role involves working with a medical team, coaching and educating staff, and fostering patient care improvements while maintaining compliance with medical standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat occupational medicine patients according to Agile's medical practice model
  • Complete medical record documentation before the end of each shift
  • Collaborate with the Center Medical Director to ensure quality patient care
  • Maintain compliance with State Practice Act and Workers Compensation regulations
  • Cultivate relationships with center clients and payers
  • Manage clinical and support staffing levels to optimize patient satisfaction
  • Promote center initiatives and workflows
  • Provide guidance to medical personnel in the absence of the Center Medical Director

Required skills

  • Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program
  • Unrestricted California PA/NP license (or in progress)
  • Active DEA registration
  • Current BLS and AED certification
  • NRCME (DOT Medical Examiner) certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with electronic medical record applications
  • Team player in a multidisciplinary environment
