Overview

RecruitWell is seeking a Locum PRN Urgent Care Physician for ongoing shifts in Palm Springs, California. The role involves providing patient care in a busy urgent care setting, treating patients of all ages and working alongside medical assistants.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide medical care to patients of all ages, including newborns
  • Perform suturing and splinting as needed
  • Work solo with two Medical Assistants
  • Handle approximately 50 patients per 12-hour shift
  • Manage prescriptions electronically
  • Cover shifts at three different locations

Required skills

  • Board certification in family medicine, internal medicine, or emergency medicine (preferred, not required)
  • Experience in urgent care
  • Ability to perform medical procedures such as suturing and splinting
  • Familiarity with electronic prescription management
  • Strong patient care skills
