Overview

Aya Locums is seeking an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a full-time position in the North Texas region. The role involves working in a high-volume, outpatient urgent care setting, treating patients of all ages with a focus on urgent care management and procedural care.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage full-scope urgent care for patients from pediatrics to geriatrics
  • Perform procedures typical in urgent care, such as laceration repair and incision & drainage
  • Interpret X-rays and EKGs
  • Handle acute illness and minor injury care
  • Efficiently manage a high volume of patients during scheduled shifts

Required skills

  • Board Certified in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med Peds
  • Active Texas Nurse Practitioner license
  • 3 to 6 years of Urgent Care or ER experience
  • Ability to manage all ages independently
  • DOT certification preferred
  • Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically Practice Velocity
