Overview

Aya Locums is seeking a Certified Anesthetist Assistant (CAA) or Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a locum tenens position in Washington, DC. This role involves providing pediatric anesthesia in a high-acuity environment, specifically focusing on cardiac cases at a leading children's hospital.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia care for pediatric patients
  • Manage complex pediatric cases, including congenital cardiac cases
  • Work collaboratively within a care team
  • Participate in weekend call shifts
  • Adhere to a schedule of 4 10-hour shifts
  • Be available for shifts that may start early or run late

Required skills

  • Pediatric anesthesia experience
  • Cardiac experience (preferred but not required)
  • PALS certification
  • Active DC nursing license (will consider those in the licensing process)
  • 3 years of pediatric experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Cerner EMR
