The Unmanned Aircraft Systems Operator position at the United States Secret Service is focused on aerial surveillance and reconnaissance in support of mission-critical operations. The role involves operating small unmanned aircraft, developing flight operations plans, and ensuring compliance with regulations, while contributing to the agency's protective activities and criminal investigations.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate small unmanned aircraft for aerial surveillance and reconnaissance
  • Develop and review flight operations plans
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and agency policies
  • Lead real-time aerial surveillance during events
  • Identify potential threats or vulnerabilities and relay critical data

Required skills

  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate or equivalent
