Overview

First Commerce Bank is seeking a Universal Community Banker I - Float to join their team in Lakewood, New Jersey. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, managing account relationships, and ensuring smooth branch operations. The position requires flexibility to travel between locations and adapt to varying schedules.

Key responsibilities

  • Greet and serve customers in a friendly manner
  • Develop and manage consumer and business account relationships
  • Identify customers with profit potential and develop action plans
  • Address customer questions and concerns, referring to internal resources
  • Assist with branch daily operations, including reporting and cash management
  • Process routine and complex transactions such as deposits and withdrawals
  • Maintain awareness of fraud alerts and identify fraudulent activity
  • Participate in weekly branch meetings and ongoing training
  • Coordinate work tasks with branch personnel and other departments
  • Abide by laws and policies to ensure compliance and risk management

Required skills

  • One year of bank Teller experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient in English with strong communication skills
  • Analytical and mathematics skills
  • Customer service skills
  • PC skills including job-related software knowledge
  • Ability to operate office machines like currency counters
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds of coin
  • Visual and auditory skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to schedule changes
