Overview

The Universal Banker 1 at First Federal Lakewood plays a crucial role in providing front-line customer service and sales within retail branches. This entry-level position focuses on processing transactions, maintaining accounts, and supporting higher-level Universal Bankers, while striving to meet performance metrics and assist in training new employees.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service by processing transactions and handling account maintenance
  • Operate Teller window and maintain cash limits according to branch guidelines
  • Open and close basic accounts accurately following bank policies
  • Cross-sell bank's products and services and make referrals
  • Participate in team meetings and complete assigned training
  • Perform basic opening and closing duties independently
  • Assist with back-office duties such as balancing ATMs and processing deposits
  • Comply with all banking laws and regulations
  • Float to other bank branches as needed

Required skills

  • 0-2 years of banking experience
  • Experience handling cash
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Experience with Cleartouch, Nautilus, and various software preferred
  • CRM experience preferred
  • Driver's license required for float positions
