Overview

The Gig Ultrasound Technologist at Mercy operates ultrasound imaging equipment to assist in diagnosing and treating patients. This flexible role requires a strong commitment to patient care, technical expertise, and effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate ultrasound equipment to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment
  • Ensure patient safety and maintain high-quality imaging standards
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide optimal care
  • Float between different Mercy facilities as required

Required skills

  • Proficiency in operating ultrasound imaging equipment
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Sonography
  • 1 year of relevant experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • State licensure may be required
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
