Overview

OhioHealth is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform ultrasound examinations, interpreting results based on patient history and previous testing. The role emphasizes patient care, collaboration with radiologists, and quality control, within a healthcare team dedicated to wellness and excellence.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform various ultrasound examinations and interpret results based on patient history and symptoms.
  • Assist Radiologists with invasive procedures.
  • Evaluate normal vs. abnormal test results independently.
  • Provide preliminary ultrasound results to attending physicians and surgeons.
  • Educate imaging and medical students on ultrasound methods and instrumentation.
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment and stocks supplies, performing quality control procedures.

Required skills

  • Associate's Degree
  • ARDMS certification
  • ARRT certification
  • BLS certification
  • RDMS certification
  • 1-2 years of ultrasound training from an accredited program
  • 1-2 years of previous ultrasound experience
