Overview

The Ultrasound Resident Educator position at OhioHealth involves maintaining accreditation for ultrasound procedures and supervising the OB/GYN residency training program. The role focuses on teaching, quality control, and patient care coordination across various OhioHealth campuses.

Key responsibilities

  • Update and maintain the Ultrasound training program for the OB/GYN residency program and other residency programs as needed
  • Provide hands-on instruction for OB/GYN ultrasound procedures
  • Train and supervise OB/GYN residents in recognizing normal anatomy and detecting abnormalities
  • Deliver didactic and technical training related to OB/GYN ultrasound
  • Collaborate with Women's Health Center management to meet patient care needs
  • Establish and follow quality control standards in ultrasound monitoring
  • Review and evaluate resident ultrasound examinations for quality control and educational progress
  • Work collaboratively with regional management to ensure compliance with training standards

Required skills

  • Associate's Degree
  • ARDMS Certification in OB/GYN ultrasound
  • BLS Certification
  • Minimum two years of experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine
  • Minimum ten years of OB/GYN ultrasound experience
  • Experience with medical documentation and quality control procedures
