Overview

OhioHealth is seeking an Ultrasonographer for the Imaging Float Pool in Columbus, Ohio. This role involves independently performing ultrasound examinations, assessing patient conditions based on medical history, and collaborating with radiologists to provide diagnostic insights.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform various ultrasound examinations and interpret results based on clinical judgment.
  • Assist Radiologists with invasive procedures.
  • Evaluate normal vs. abnormal test results in relation to patient history and previous examinations.
  • Provide preliminary ultrasound results to healthcare providers regarding vascular procedures.
  • Teach and educate imaging students, medical students, and residents on ultrasound methods.
  • Maintain equipment, stock supplies, and perform quality control procedures.

Required skills

  • Associate's Degree
  • ARDMS Certification
  • ARRT Certification
  • BLS Certification
  • 1-2 years of ultrasound training from an accredited program
  • 1-2 years of previous ultrasound experience
