Job Description

Overview

OhioHealth is seeking a full-time Ultrasonographer for night shifts to perform ultrasound examinations and assist radiologists in diagnosing patient conditions. The role requires independent judgment and expertise in ultrasound imaging while maintaining a commitment to quality care and patient safety.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform various ultrasound examinations with in-depth knowledge of anatomy and pathology.
  • Evaluate and interpret normal vs. abnormal test results based on patient history and previous examinations.
  • Provide preliminary ultrasound results to attending physicians and surgeons.
  • Teach scanning methods and instrumentation to imaging students and residents.
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment and perform quality control procedures.

Required skills

  • Associate's Degree
  • ARDMS Certification
  • ARRT Certification
  • BLS Certification
  • 1-2 years of clinical ultrasound training
  • Knowledge of wave form physics and ultrasound imaging techniques
