Overview

OhioHealth is seeking a full-time Ultrasonographer for their Athens OB/GYN office. This role involves performing various ultrasound examinations in a busy practice that includes multiple providers. Candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus, and the position offers a standard daytime schedule with no weekend or major holiday shifts.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform various ultrasound examinations, interpreting results based on in-depth knowledge of anatomy and pathology
  • Assist Radiologists with invasive procedures
  • Evaluate normal vs. abnormal test results in correlation with patient history
  • Provide preliminary ultrasound results to attending physicians and residents
  • Teach and educate imaging students and medical residents on ultrasound techniques
  • Maintain equipment and stocks supplies, performing quality control procedures

Required skills

  • Associate's Degree
  • ARDMS Certification
  • BLS Certification
  • 1-2 years of ultrasound training from an accredited program
  • Previous ultrasound experience (clinical training acceptable)
  • Knowledge of wave form physics and imaging techniques
