Overview

The Turf Products Manager at Native Seed will collaborate with the Sales Manager to serve customers in Eastern Kansas and Western Nebraska, focusing on golf courses, lawn care organizations, and retailers. This role involves managing turf product lines, maintaining supplier relationships, and providing technical support to clients within the turf industry.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage turf product lines including selection, purchasing, and sales
  • Maintain relationships with key suppliers
  • Call on prospective clients such as golf courses and lawn care organizations
  • Write estimates, quotes, and bids for customers
  • Provide sales and technical support for turf industry customers
  • Provide technical assistance including product comparisons and application timing
  • Attend industry-related meetings, trade shows, and conferences
  • Organize and present turf-related training sessions

Required skills

  • 3 years minimum turfgrass maintenance or sales experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to interpret soil analysis and make recommendations
  • Education: 2-year associates degree in Turf or Horticulture required, B.S in Agronomy or Horticulture preferred
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
