Job Description

Overview

Trusted Medical, PLLC is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide clinical assessments and evaluations for Veterans applying for disability benefits from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. The role also includes delivering occupational health services for various government agencies, contributing to a vital mission to support those who served in the military.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct face-to-face, in-clinic assessments and evaluations for Veterans
  • Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) for VA eligibility
  • Perform pre-employment physicals and Department of Transportation (DOT) exams
  • Conduct fitness-for-duty evaluations and other occupational health screenings
  • Work independently with high reliability and excellent assessment skills

Required skills

  • Master's degree (required)
  • Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner Certification (required)
  • Active Nurse Practitioner License in the state of employment
  • Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Examiner Certification within 6 months of hire
  • 1 year of experience in primary care, internal medicine, or occupational medicine (preferred)
  • Experience with Veterans and/or federal health organizations (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Electronic Health Records and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
