Overview

The Truss Designer at Rival Holdings will be responsible for creating detailed plans for roof and floor trusses using Mitek software, requiring expertise in structural engineering and building codes. This role emphasizes teamwork, customer service, and effective communication with internal teams and clients.

Key responsibilities

  • Create detailed placement plans and truss designs using Mitek software
  • Read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
  • Produce accurate production-ready truss layouts and design drawings
  • Support the sales team with excellent customer service
  • Collaborate with professional engineers for truss design and repair details
  • Maintain communication with customers and management to meet production deadlines
  • Communicate specifications with the production team

Required skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in roof and floor truss design for residential projects
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Knowledge of wood products and building construction materials and methods
  • Ability to read blueprints and visualize details in three dimensions
  • Knowledge of design, production, and sales of manufactured trusses
  • Working knowledge of Mitek and Alpine software
