Overview

H&K Group, Inc. is seeking 2nd Shift Truck Mechanics for their Harrisburg Division in Hummelstown, PA. The role involves repairing and maintaining electric, diesel, and gasoline vocational trucks, requiring self-motivation, organization, and professionalism.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform all work adhering to OSHA and H&K Safety policies
  • Read job orders and diagnose malfunctions
  • Install new ignition systems and align front wheels
  • Replace batteries, transmissions, and engines
  • Examine safety devices and perform adjustments
  • Lubricate and service vehicles
  • Fabricate special attachments and hydraulic systems
  • Conduct collision repairs including sanding, prepping, and painting
  • Complete all standard maintenance and ensure state inspection compliance

Required skills

  • One-year certificate in diesel mechanics or related field OR 2 years of related experience
  • Class A or B CDL or ability to obtain within one year
  • Clean driving record
  • Strong customer service and teamwork skills
  • Mathematical skills
  • Ability to work a 2nd shift schedule
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the job
