Job Description

Overview

The H&K Group is seeking 1st and 2nd Shift Truck Mechanics for Stone Express in Douglassville, Pennsylvania. The role involves repairing and maintaining electric, diesel, and gasoline vocational trucks, while adhering to safety policies and standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform all work adhering to OSHA and H&K Safety policies
  • Read job orders and observe equipment to determine malfunctions
  • Install new ignition systems and replace transmissions and other parts
  • Examine safety devices on trucks and adjust as needed
  • Lubricate and service vehicles
  • Complete all standard maintenance and ensure state inspection compliance
  • Fabricate special attachments and systems according to schematic drawings
  • Perform collision repair, including sanding, prepping, and painting

Required skills

  • One-year certificate in diesel mechanics or related field OR 2 years of related experience
  • Class A or B CDL or ability to obtain within one year
  • Clean driving record
  • Customer service and teamwork skills
  • Mathematical skills
  • Ability to work 1st or 2nd shift
  • Ability to utilize appropriate PPE and meet physical requirements
