Job Description

Overview

Blooming Glen Contractors, Inc., a division of The H&K Group, is seeking self-motivated 1st and 2nd Shift Truck Mechanics to repair and maintain electric, diesel, and gasoline vocational trucks. Candidates must be organized and professional, with a focus on adhering to safety policies and completing maintenance tasks efficiently.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform all work adhering to OSHA and H&K Safety policies
  • Diagnose malfunctions and plan work procedures based on job orders
  • Install ignition systems, align front wheels, and replace batteries and transmissions
  • Replace gas or diesel engines
  • Examine and adjust safety devices and protective guards on trucks
  • Lubricate and service vehicles
  • Fabricate special lifting or towing attachments and hydraulic systems
  • Conduct collision repairs, including sanding, prepping, and painting vehicles
  • Ensure standard maintenance and state inspection requirements are met

Required skills

  • One-year certificate in diesel mechanics or 2 years of related experience
  • Class A or B CDL or ability to obtain within one year
  • Clean driving record
  • Customer Service and Teamwork skills
  • Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to work 1st or 2nd shift
  • Willingness to use appropriate PPE
  • Physical ability to meet job requirements
