Job Description

Overview

Penske Logistics is seeking a full-time Local Class A CDL Truck Driver in Ellington, Connecticut. This role offers local deliveries with a schedule that allows drivers to be home daily. Drivers will operate late model trucks and ensure the safe transport of palletized grocery products.

Key responsibilities

  • Make dock-to-dock deliveries of palletized grocery products
  • Adhere to safety compliance and federal/state regulations
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance
  • Represent Penske and its clients professionally
  • Participate in training opportunities

Required skills

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years
  • Ability to obtain a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
  • English language proficiency
  • Experience with safety-sensitive roles
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50lbs regularly and 100lbs occasionally
