Overview

Penske Logistics is seeking full-time Local Class A CDL Truck Drivers in Clifton, New Jersey. The role involves driving late model trucks to deliver products to stores, typically averaging 1 to 4 stops per route, while ensuring customer interactions are professional and courteous. Drivers are home daily and enjoy a five-day work week, with the possibility of additional hours.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver products to stores with an average of 1 to 4 stops per route
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with customers
  • Ensure safety while operating the vehicle
  • Follow all federal and state laws and regulations
  • Work scheduled shifts, which may include Saturdays
  • Participate in training and development opportunities

Required skills

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience within the last 3 years or 2 years in the last 5 years
  • Ability to obtain a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
  • English language proficiency
  • Understanding of safety standards and regulations
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally
