Job Description

Overview

The Truck Driver at Hayfield Window and Door is responsible for delivering windows and doors to customers in the upper Midwest while providing excellent customer service. This position offers a chance to build relationships with a regular customer base and primarily ensures the timely and safe delivery of products.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver windows and doors to customers in the upper Midwest
  • Follow route schedules and adjust as needed for customer requests
  • Provide customer service regarding delivery timings and locations
  • Verify truck load against shipping documents
  • Check truck's equipment for road worthiness
  • Communicate with Dispatch Supervisor for delivery instructions
  • Unload products while adhering to delivery schedule
  • Activate delivery verification scanners at point of delivery
  • Maintain all DOT and Vector Windows documentation requirements

Required skills

  • Valid Class A driver's license (CDL)
  • Previous truck driving experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to load and unload trailers
  • Ability to lift up to 100lbs
  • Attention to detail and focus
  • Physical stamina for long driving shifts
