Overview

The Truck Driver at SRS Building Products in LaVergne, Tennessee, is responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of building materials to job sites. This role involves verifying inventory, following safety protocols, and maintaining high service standards while fostering strong customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and verify inventory accuracy
  • Ensure secure, damage-free deliveries
  • Assess job site conditions to prevent hazards and collaborate with customers
  • Document deliveries with photos per company policy
  • Load and unload materials safely, using forklifts or manually
  • Manage long hours and fast-paced schedules in varying weather conditions

Required skills

  • Valid CDL Class A or B with air brakes endorsement
  • Clean driving record
  • Experience operating forklifts/Moffett's
  • Effective English communication skills
  • 1-2 years of relevant commercial driving experience
  • Hazmat endorsement and strong vehicle maintenance skills (preferred)
  • Familiarity with fleet management systems (preferred)
