Job Description

Overview

Family Fresh Pack Inc is seeking a Truck Driver to facilitate the movement of materials between their plants and handle deliveries efficiently. This vital role requires a hands-on approach and involves operating the company truck, managing paperwork, and ensuring proper material placement within the plant.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely operate the company truck to transfer materials between the North and South plants
  • Pick up and deliver materials to and from local vendors as needed
  • Assemble, load, and unload materials, ensuring correct placement in the plant
  • Complete all required paperwork and computer entries accurately and on time
  • Maintain proper labeling of skids and update racks with correct tags
  • Monitor product temperatures daily and communicate any issues to the maintenance department
  • Perform basic truck and equipment checks, including oil levels, inspections, and cleanliness
  • Maintain an organized workspace to support production and shipping & receiving efficiency
  • Cross-train for other roles within the Shipping & Receiving department
  • Assist in production work when S&R tasks are complete
  • Sweep and maintain cleanliness in coolers and dock areas
  • Prepare for incoming products to streamline the receiving process
  • Safely operate warehouse equipment as needed

Required skills

  • Valid CDL - Class B license
  • Current DOT medical card
  • 1+ years of forklift experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent computer, reading, writing, and math skills
  • Ability to lift heavy loads (50 lbs.+)
