Overview

The Assistant General Manager at Tropical Smoothie Cafe in Jacksonville, Florida, plays a critical role in supporting General Managers across multiple locations. Key responsibilities

  • Fill in for General Manager vacations
  • Support cafes without a General Manager
  • Assist in inventory training when necessary
  • Drive brand values through training and development
  • Coach and develop management and crew members
  • Assist with hiring and staffing for under-staffed cafes
  • Support new software rollouts and training
  • Ensure team member training programs are executed according to standards
  • Attend monthly and weekly meetings with leadership and management

Required skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong management and supervisory skills
  • Current valid driver's license and proof of insurance
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions
  • High school diploma
  • Two or more years of restaurant experience, including supervisory experience
