Job Description

Overview

The Trimmer at Metalcraft of Mayville is responsible for trimming, flaming, and finishing plastic parts, as well as sorting and counting order quantities. This position works the 2nd shift from 2pm to 10pm, Monday through Friday, and reports to the Production Shift Supervisor.

Key responsibilities

  • Trim excess plastic from parting lines
  • Inspect product and communicate findings to machine operators
  • Assemble products according to specific work instructions
  • Perform data entry and basic computer functions
  • Select correct hand tooling for job tasks
  • Meet time standards and quality expectations
  • Account for time and work completed using online systems
  • Resolve basic manufacturing issues or seek assistance
  • Report and document material, production, and quality control issues
  • Maintain performance log books on equipment
  • Participate in equipment preventative maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned
