Job Description

Overview

United Clearing Services is seeking experienced Tree Trimmers/Climbers to maintain vegetation clearance around utility lines in Texas. Ideal candidates will possess safety awareness and climbing skills essential for working near energized power sources.

Key responsibilities

  • Trim and clear vegetation along utility rights-of-way as directed by the Crew Leader
  • Climb trees using rope and saddle to prune or remove branches near energized conductors
  • Use chainsaws, hand saws, pruners, and other tree trimming tools safely and efficiently
  • Operate chippers and other vegetation management equipment
  • Perform hazard tree removal around power lines and utility infrastructure
  • Follow Minimum Approach Distance requirements when working near energized lines
  • Maintain and sharpen chainsaws and other hand tools
  • Assist with site cleanup by cutting underbrush and removing debris
  • May perform traffic flagging duties to maintain safe work zones
  • May assist with vegetation control including herbicide application

Required skills

  • Rigging and knots knowledge
  • Safety compliance with OSHA regulations
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with hazard tree removal
  • Ability to identify electrical systems and maintain clearance distances
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Reliable transportation
