Overview

Brightview Senior Living is seeking a Traveling Skilled Craftsman to enhance the interior finishes of multiple communities across South New Jersey and Pennsylvania. This role involves preparing apartments for move-in and ensuring high standards of quality in residential maintenance, including carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical work.

Key responsibilities

  • Review and complete assigned work orders and project assignments
  • Confirm all work is approved before execution
  • Complete approved, non-structural alterations to established standards
  • Deliver high-quality work while meeting budget and timeframe expectations
  • Communicate effectively with community teams and Home Office leadership
  • Perform carpentry, including constructing and repairing frameworks and finishes
  • Partner with community leadership to assess painting needs
  • Install, maintain, and repair basic electrical systems
  • Install and repair plumbing systems and fixtures
  • Estimate time and material requirements for projects

Required skills

  • 3+ years of carpentry, painting, or construction experience
  • Commercial or multi-site maintenance experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license and personal vehicle access
  • Willingness to travel between communities
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and basic computer applications
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
  • Problem-solving and repair-focused mindset
  • Safe use of hand and power tools
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals
  • Strong organizational skills
