Overview

The Traveling Community Manager (Affordable Housing) at Pratum Companies is responsible for managing one or more multifamily apartment communities, requiring travel across the company's nationwide portfolio. The role focuses on daily operations, customer service, compliance, and resident engagement, especially in the mid-Atlantic region.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of multifamily apartment communities
  • Conduct outreach, sales, and customer service efforts to exceed performance targets
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing and Fair Credit Reporting Requirements
  • Provide affordable housing services ensuring adherence to leases and certifications
  • Engage residents in social and educational initiatives
  • Prepare operational financial reports for Regional Property Manager and corporate departments
  • Lead staffing, training, and development initiatives at the property

Required skills

  • Four years of experience in Tax-Credit, HUD Project Based Section 8, and Market-Rate property management
  • Strong understanding of operational, compliance, and regulatory matters
  • Two years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing laws
  • Superior customer service and communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office suite and experience with RealPage OneSite
  • Financial and accounting acumen
  • CPO, COS and/or BOS certifications preferred; HCCP & SHCM or equivalent preferred
