Overview

Deerfield Construction Co. is seeking a Traveling Construction Superintendent to oversee and coordinate commercial construction projects in various locations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while promoting a culture of safety.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of commercial construction projects from pre-construction to completion.
  • Ensure efficient use of resources including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to meet project specifications.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, identifying critical paths and potential delays.
  • Enforce safety compliance and promote a culture of safety on job sites.
  • Foster effective communication among project teams, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Proactively identify and resolve construction-related issues.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites for the duration of projects.

Required skills

  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Superintendent in commercial construction
  • Ability to implement plans and specifications and manage job site control and schedule
  • Experience in fast track construction such as restaurant, petroleum, and retail
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in Procore and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification (preferred)
