Certification DetailsBasic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or the Red Cross.Telemetry Technician Certification.Dysrhythmia Course.Job DetailsProvide advanced ECG monitoring while assessing patient status through ECG strip analysis and arrhythmia interpretation.Identify and respond to potentially life-threatening rhythm changes, initiate codes, record rhythms during codes.Perform continuous EKG monitoring with accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias.Troubleshoot monitoring problems and appropriately respond to all monitor alarms.Perform electrocardiograms in multiple settings including proper electrode placement.Communicate appropriately and clearly with charge nurses, co-workers, and physicians.Enter and verify orders in the computer system.Retrieve laboratory results from the computer system and bring results to the attention of the charge nurse.Ensure documentation meets current standards and organizational policies.Manage and operate monitoring and medical equipment safely and correctly.Job RequirementsMinimum 2 years experience as a Telemetry Technician.High School Diploma or equivalent required.Schedule InformationShift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM.Hours per day: 11 hours.Hours per week: 34.5 hours.Additional DetailsRequired Skills: MS Office Suite.Preferred Skills: None specified.
