Job Description

Overview

The Trauma Med/Surg Staff RN at OhioHealth provides comprehensive nursing care to patients and their families across various acute healthcare settings. As a part of a dedicated team, the RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care, while adhering to the standards set by the Ohio Board of Nursing.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessments
  • Document planned nursing interventions to achieve outcomes based on nursing diagnoses
  • Evaluate and document response to nursing interventions and revise plans of care as necessary
  • Participate in process improvement activities to enhance clinical quality and customer satisfaction
  • Focus on safety, quality, and efficiency in all job duties

Required skills

  • Registered Nurse License from the State of Ohio or multi-state compact state
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required after 5 years of employment
  • Patient care and nursing assessment
  • Critical thinking and time management skills
  • Healthcare collaboration and medication administration
