Position Title: Transportation EngineerLocation: New York, New York, United StatesDescription: H&H is seeking a Transportation Engineer to join our growing Transportation, Mobility, and Parking practice in the New York Metro region. This position plays a key role in the planning, design, and delivery of multimodal transportation projects while supporting the continued expansion of our Transportation Group. The successful candidate will contribute to a wide range of public and private sector transportation projects, including municipal intersection improvements, corridor studies, complete streets initiatives, and large-scale infrastructure and mixed-use developments exceeding 3 million square feet. This role requires both technical expertise and leadership capability, with opportunities to manage small design teams and support client development efforts.ResponsibilitiesPerform operational and capacity analyses and traffic simulations using Synchro, SimTraffic, VISSIM, HCS, and SIDRAConduct travel demand modeling and forecasting activitiesLead analysis and design of signalized and unsignalized intersections, roundabouts, highway interchanges, and roadway geometrySupport traffic calming, bicycle/pedestrian safety, parking, and multimodal mobility studiesContribute to inter-modal mobility hub and transit station planning and designPerform peer review of traffic impact studies and site plan submissions for municipalitiesApply CEQR methodologies for New York City transportation projectsConduct transportation data analytics and support advanced planning studiesSupport micro-mobility studies and emerging transportation technologies (preferred)Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering (or related field)5+ years of relevant transportation engineering experiencePE certification requiredPTOE/PTP certification a plusStrong knowledge of MUTCD standards, ITE Trip Generation, and ITE/ULI Parking Generation proceduresExperience with professional engineering deliverables and agency/client standardsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to lead tasks and collaborate within multidisciplinary teamsPreferred QualificationsExperience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStationExperience working with regional transportation agencies and municipalitiesFamiliarity with transportation planning, design, and traffic operations in NY Metro areaInterest in business development, client engagement, and strategic growth initiativesBenefits: We offer a professional work environment, competitive salary, benefits package, and 401(k).EOE M/F/ DISABILITY/VETSPIe1ada45f933e-7437
