Job Description Job Description Position SummaryStaffmark is hiring Transportation Clerks for a leading logistics operation in Lancaster, TX. This role is ideal for candidates with customer service, transportation, logistics, dispatch, or warehouse office experience. The Transportation Clerk will serve as a key point of contact for drivers, vendors, visitors, and customers while supporting daily transportation operations.Professionalism is essential, as this position interacts directly with drivers, contractors, customers, and site visitors.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesCheck in and assist drivers arriving at the facilityVerify driver and shipment information for accuracyDispatch drivers and release loads through the Transportation Management SystemDirect drivers to appropriate delivery and receiving locationsMonitor transportation activities and communicate updates as neededTroubleshoot system and operational issues to ensure smooth workflowCommunicate with internal teams, vendors, and customers regarding transportation activitiesMaintain accurate records and documentationSupport special projects and operational initiatives as assignedProvide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional demeanorQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredPrevious customer service, transportation, logistics, dispatch, or clerical experience preferredStrong computer skills and ability to learn transportation management systemsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsDetail-oriented with excellent follow-up skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamReliable attendance and professional presentationPreferred ExperienceTransportation, logistics, dispatch, shipping, receiving, or warehouse office experienceExperience working with drivers, carriers, vendors, or transportation systemsFamiliarity with transportation management systems (TMS) is a plus Company Description We dare to dream.
