Overview

The Transmission Engineer at PacifiCorp will apply standard practices in engineering to assist in various projects related to the planning, design, and maintenance of utility systems. This role involves conducting engineering studies, performing equipment tests, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards during site inspections.

Key responsibilities

  • Analyze system design, programming, and modifications
  • Develop studies of limited scope and prepare data for cost estimations
  • Run equipment and performance tests and install new equipment
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to engineering standards

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college/university
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations
  • Basic engineering principles application
  • Communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional teamwork
  • Proficiency with personal computers and automated tools
  • Engineering internship or experience with electrical utility preferred
