With a focus on building regional coalitions of partner organizations, NSF Engines accelerate thedevelopment of emerging technologies, drive economic growth, address key societal challenges, maintainnational competitiveness, and strengthen national security. The NSF funds Engines to carry out an integratedand comprehensive set of activities spanning use-inspired research, translation to practice, entrepreneurship,and workforce development to nurture and accelerate regional industries. This person worksto bring brands together to align on key material development projects, solve critical problems and work in aprecompetitive state to achieve previously unattainable goals. This role leads the strategy, project andresource planning, project tracking, and reporting to achieve the strategic goals of both the Engine and thetranslation objectives. The Consortium Director is a key strategic leader in the Engine organization. Thisleader works collaboratively with the internal Engine leaders, the Concept to Commercialization testbednetwork, the Engine Advisory Board, the industry network, and plays a critical connection role in theconsortium supply-demand network.Essential Functions? Lead the development, implementation, and growth of consortium initiatives that support thestrategic objectives of the Textile Innovation Engine.? Develop consortium strategies, governance structures, operating agreements, andcommunication frameworks that support effective collaboration among industry, academic,nonprofit, government, and supply chain partners.? Build and maintain strategic partnerships across the textile ecosystem to identify opportunities,address industry challenges, and advance consortium priorities.? Facilitate collaboration among consortium participants to align goals, establish project priorities,and support the successful execution of innovation and commercialization initiatives.? Lead consortium projects focused on material innovation, product development, supply chainadvancement, and market adoption.? Develop and implement processes that support supply chain validation, partner engagement,commercialization, and adoption of consortium-developed materials and solutions.?
