Overview

The Training Specialist at SOFIE plays a crucial role in supporting quality, manufacturing, and operational initiatives by developing, facilitating, and overseeing training programs for employees. This position involves assessing training needs, implementing various training initiatives, and ensuring that the workforce is effectively equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess the training needs of the organization through job analysis and consultation with leadership.
  • Develop individualized and group training programs that address specific organizational needs.
  • Deliver training courses using various methods, including face-to-face and virtual delivery.
  • Assist in onboarding and offboarding training processes.
  • Establish qualification criteria for Quality Control testing and product manufacturing.
  • Create printed and instructional materials for training.
  • Administer tests to evaluate training effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with various teams to establish training programs.
  • Stay updated on training trends and best practices.
  • Travel to SOFIE network sites for hands-on training.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science (chemistry, microbiology, or biology preferred)
  • 2 years in a cGMP laboratory/production environment including training experience
  • Knowledge of USP, FDA, and CGMP regulations
  • Ability to write, review, and revise SOPs
  • Excellent analytical skills and multitasking ability
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
