Job Description

Overview

As a Training & Development Manager at Jabil Circuit, you will lead a team focused on enhancing technical skills and leadership effectiveness across manufacturing operations. Your role will involve developing training programs and aligning them with organizational objectives, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development at the Prince George, VA facility.

Key responsibilities

  • Recruit, interview, and hire Training Support Specialists and Leadership Development Specialists.
  • Monitor team member turnover and implement retention improvements.
  • Identify individual and team strengths and development needs.
  • Create and validate training curriculum for technical and leadership programs.
  • Coach and mentor team members to achieve excellence.
  • Develop and maintain succession planning strategies.
  • Establish clear goals aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Gather feedback to evaluate team performance and contribution.
  • Coordinate team activities during critical situations.
  • Facilitate regular team communication forums.
  • Align Training & Development strategy with HR objectives.
  • Drive execution of training strategies to support business goals.
  • Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities.
  • Maintain knowledge of training and development best practices.
  • Ensure effective onboarding and orientation for new employees.
  • Drive continuous improvement using data analysis and metrics.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in training, development, or HR leadership.
  • Understanding of training and development strategies in manufacturing.
  • Experience building and delivering technical and leadership development programs.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to design and implement process improvements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of modern learning technologies, including e-learning platforms.
