Job Description

Overview

The Trailer Technician position at TEN involves performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs on trailers in a supportive environment with a focus on reliability and excellence. This role is integral to TEN's service operations in Mississauga, where technicians ensure trailers are safe and operational.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of trailers to identify maintenance or repair needs
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as lubricating parts and replacing components
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot trailer issues using diagnostic tools
  • Repair or replace damaged trailer parts, including electrical systems and brakes
  • Perform welding, fabrication, and bodywork repairs as needed
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed

Required skills

  • Licensed Truck-Trailer Service Technician (310J) or working towards it as an Apprentice
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Trailer Service Technician or similar role
  • Knowledge of trailer systems, including electrical, suspension, and braking components
  • Experience in fabrication, welding, and tailgate repairs
  • Ability to collaborate as a team player
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to safely lift up to 85 pounds
