About Northwest Traffic Control ServicesNorthwest Traffic Control Services is a certified Women Business Enterprise (WBENC) that provides professional traffic safety solutions in accordance with MUTCD standards. We specialize in traffic control planning, work zone setup, maintenance of traffic services for construction projects, and the rental and sale of traffic control equipment, including attenuator trucks, arrow boards, message boards, signs, barricades, and other traffic safety devices.Position SummaryThe Traffic Support Specialist is responsible for managing an assigned territory and conducting daily field inspections of work zones and traffic control crews to ensure compliance with company policies, MUTCD standards, ATSSA guidelines, and applicable DOT specifications.This position serves as a key liaison between field personnel and management while helping maintain the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational excellence.ResponsibilitiesConduct daily job site inspections to ensure traffic control setups comply with MUTCD, ATSSA, DOT, and company standards.Oversee the maintenance, condition, and proper use of traffic control equipment.Observe field operations and identify opportunities for improvement.Correct traffic control deficiencies or coordinate corrective action as needed.Identify and report violations of company policies and procedures.Serve as a liaison between Northwest management and field crews.Document site visits, observations, deficiencies, and corrective actions.Maintain positive customer and contractor relationships while representing Northwest professionally.Drive company vehicles as needed.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsRequired:High School Diploma or GED.Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.Working knowledge of MUTCD and traffic control requirements.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.Positive, professional attitude.Preferred:Prior traffic control Crew Lead experience.Prior supervisory or team leadership experience.ATSSA Traffic Control certifications.Experience working on DOT and utility projects.CompensationStarting pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hourThis position is eligible for overtime compensation.Benefits401(k)Company vehicleMedical insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceLife insuranceDisability insuranceFlexible Spending Account (FSA)Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Paid Time Off (PTO)Paid trainingEqual Opportunity EmployerNorthwest Traffic Control Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
