Job Description

Overview

Northwest Traffic Control Services is seeking a Traffic Support Specialist based in King Of Prussia, Pennsylvania. This role involves managing an assigned territory, conducting daily field inspections of work zones and traffic control crews to ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct daily job site inspections to ensure compliance with MUTCD, ATSSA, DOT, and company standards
  • Oversee maintenance and proper use of traffic control equipment
  • Observe field operations and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Correct traffic control deficiencies or coordinate corrective actions as needed
  • Identify and report violations of company policies and procedures
  • Serve as a liaison between Northwest management and field crews
  • Document site visits, observations, deficiencies, and corrective actions
  • Maintain positive customer and contractor relationships

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Working knowledge of MUTCD and traffic control requirements
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Positive, professional attitude
  • Prior traffic control Crew Lead experience (preferred)
  • Prior supervisory or team leadership experience (preferred)
  • ATSSA Traffic Control certifications (preferred)
  • Experience working on DOT and utility projects (preferred)
