Job Description

Overview

The Traffic Control Supervisor at RoadSafe Traffic Systems is responsible for designing, setting up, and maintaining temporary traffic control in work zones. They oversee the safe diversion of drivers and pedestrians while supervising teams that install traffic control devices across various job sites.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites
  • Drive MOT and TMA vehicles to and from projects to protect workers and work zones
  • Place and position construction signs and traffic safety devices in work areas
  • Monitor work zones throughout the shift to ensure safety devices remain in place
  • Install, remove, and reset delineators, signs, posts, and supports
  • Perform maintenance and repair of equipment in the shop
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Valid Driver's License
  • 2+ years of traffic control experience with 4,000 field hours
  • Completion of the ATSSA TCS intermediate training course
  • Ability to pass background check and drug test
  • Basic reading and writing skills for compliance with road signs and paperwork
  • Knowledge of federal and state motor carrier safety regulations
  • Ability to read and implement traffic control plans
  • Experience operating delivery vehicles of varying sizes
  • Ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds
  • Willingness to travel statewide and work nights and weekends as required
  • Availability for a rotating on-call schedule
