Overview

The Traffic Control Supervisor at RoadSafe Traffic Systems is responsible for designing, setting up, and maintaining temporary traffic control in work zones. This role involves directing traffic, monitoring road repairs, and supervising teams during equipment installation while ensuring safety regulations are followed.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites
  • Drive MOT and TMA vehicles to and from projects and on work sites
  • Set up and maintain traffic control devices such as cones, signs, and boards
  • Monitor work zones to ensure traffic control items are in proper locations
  • Collect and load traffic control items at the beginning and end of shifts
  • Perform general maintenance and repair of equipment
  • Follow safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe work environment
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures

Required skills

  • Valid Driver's License
  • 2+ years of experience and 4,000 field hours in traffic control
  • Completion of ATSSA TCS intermediate training course
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test
  • Basic reading and writing skills for compliance with road signs and paperwork
  • Knowledge of federal and state motor carrier safety regulations
  • Ability to read plans and implement traffic control plans
  • Good knowledge of state and local roadways
  • Experience operating delivery vehicles of varying sizes
  • Ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds
  • Willingness to travel statewide and work nights and weekends
  • Availability for a rotating on-call schedule
