Job Description

Overview

RoadSafe Traffic Systems, Inc. is seeking a Traffic Control Supervisor who will be integral in designing, setting up, and maintaining temporary traffic controls in work zones. This role entails supervising teams and ensuring safe and effective traffic management at various project sites across North Carolina.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites
  • Drive MOT and TMA vehicles to and from projects and on work sites
  • Place temporary construction signs and set up traffic safety devices
  • Monitor work zones throughout shifts to ensure proper placement of equipment
  • Collect and load traffic control items at shift start and end
  • Install, remove, and reset delineators, signs, posts, and supports
  • Perform shop work, including maintenance and repair of equipment
  • Follow all safety rules and adhere to company policies
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Valid Driver's License
  • 2+ years of experience in traffic control with 4,000 field hours
  • ATSSA TCS intermediate training course completion
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug tests
  • Basic reading and writing skills for compliance with road signs and paperwork
  • Knowledge of federal and state motor carrier safety regulations
  • Ability to read traffic control plans
  • Good knowledge of state and local roadways
  • Experience operating delivery vehicles of varying sizes
  • Ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds
  • Willingness to travel statewide and work nights and weekends as required
