Overview

The Traffic Control Supervisor at RoadSafe Traffic Systems is responsible for managing the setup and maintenance of temporary traffic control in work zones. This role involves monitoring road repairs, overseeing installation teams, and ensuring safety regulations are adhered to.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, set up, and maintain temporary traffic control in work zones
  • Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites
  • Drive MOT and TMA vehicles to protect workers and work zones
  • Place temporary construction signs and set up traffic safety devices
  • Monitor work zones to ensure proper placement of traffic control items
  • Install, remove, and reset delineators, signs, posts, and supports
  • Perform general maintenance and repair of equipment
  • Follow safety rules and regulations to ensure a safe work environment

Required skills

  • Valid Driver's License
  • 2+ years of experience and 4,000 field hours in traffic control
  • Completion of ATSSA TCS intermediate training course
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test
  • Basic reading and writing skills for compliance with road signs and paperwork
  • Knowledge of federal and state motor carrier safety regulations
  • Ability to read plans and implement traffic control plans
  • Good knowledge of state and local roadways
  • Experience operating delivery vehicles of varying sizes
  • Ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds
  • Willingness to travel statewide and work nights and weekends
