Job Description

Overview

The Traffic Control Supervisor at RoadSafe Traffic Systems is responsible for designing, setting up, and maintaining temporary traffic control in work zones. This role involves utilizing traffic control devices, monitoring road repairs, and supervising teams in the installation of equipment to ensure safety and compliance.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites
  • Drive MOT vehicle and TMA vehicle to and from projects
  • Set up traffic cones and other safety devices in work areas
  • Monitor the work zone throughout the shift
  • Install, remove, and reset traffic control items
  • Perform general maintenance and repair of equipment
  • Follow safety rules and regulations
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures

Required skills

  • Valid Driver's License
  • 2+ years of experience in traffic control
  • 4,000 field hours in traffic control
  • ATSSA TCS intermediate training course certification
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test
  • Basic reading and writing skills for compliance
  • Knowledge of federal and state motor carrier safety regulations
  • Capability to lift and move up to 70 pounds
  • Ability to travel statewide and work nights and weekends
