Overview

The Traffic Control Supervisor at RoadSafe Traffic Systems is responsible for designing, setting up, and maintaining temporary traffic control in work zones. This role involves supervising teams, using traffic control devices to divert traffic, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites
  • Drive MOT and TMA vehicles to protect workers and work zones
  • Set up traffic safety devices such as cones and signs
  • Monitor work zones to ensure safety and compliance
  • Install, remove, and maintain traffic control devices and signage
  • Perform general maintenance and repair of equipment
  • Follow safety rules and regulations for a safe work environment
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures

Required skills

  • Valid Driver's License
  • 2+ years of experience and 4,000 field hours in traffic control
  • Completion of ATSSA TCS intermediate training course
  • Basic reading and writing skills for compliance with road signs and paperwork
  • Knowledge of federal and state motor carrier safety regulations
  • Good knowledge of state and local roadways
  • Ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds
  • Willingness to travel statewide and work nights/weekends
