Overview

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Supervisor in Austin, Texas, to manage the setup and maintenance of temporary traffic control in work zones. This role involves supervising teams and ensuring the safety of work areas while complying with safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and set up temporary traffic control in work zones
  • Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment
  • Drive MOT and TMA vehicles to and from projects
  • Place temporary construction signs and set up traffic cones
  • Monitor and maintain work zone safety throughout the shift
  • Install, remove, and reset traffic control devices
  • Perform general maintenance and repair of equipment
  • Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations

Required skills

  • Valid Driver's License
  • 2+ years of experience and 4,000 field hours in traffic control
  • Completion of ATSSA TCS intermediate training course
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug tests
  • Basic reading and writing skills for compliance with road signs
  • Knowledge of federal and state motor carrier safety regulations
  • Ability to read and implement traffic control plans
  • Experience operating delivery vehicles of varying sizes
  • Ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds
  • Willingness to travel and work various shifts, including nights and weekends
