Job Description

Overview

As a Traffic Control Flagger II at RoadSafe Traffic Systems, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe movement of traffic around construction sites and work zones. This involves setting up and operating traffic control devices while communicating effectively with motorists to manage traffic flow in various outdoor conditions.

Key responsibilities

  • Set up signs, cones, and traffic control devices around work areas
  • Manage traffic flow using stop/slow paddles
  • Communicate with team members via two-way radios
  • Stand and walk for up to 10 hours a day
  • Lift and move items over 50 pounds
  • Drive company vehicles to transport equipment
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance
  • Adhere to Company Policies and Procedures
  • Complete other assigned duties

Required skills

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug tests
  • Experience in outdoor work and adverse weather conditions
  • Effective communication skills

  • Ability to operate 2-way radios
  • Completion of ATSSA Flagger training and Defensive Driver training
