Overview

The Traffic Control Flagger II at RoadSafe Traffic Systems is responsible for directing traffic around work zones, ensuring the safety of both the public and workers. This role includes setting up traffic control devices and maintaining clear communication with team members and motorists in various weather conditions.

Key responsibilities

  • Set up and take down traffic control signs, cones, and barricades around work areas.
  • Direct traffic flow using stop/slow paddles and effective communication.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods, requiring physical stamina.
  • Lift and move items over 50 pounds as needed.
  • Drive company vehicles to transport traffic control equipment.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.

Required skills

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to pass background and drug tests
  • Experience with 2-way radios
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Attention to detail and strong work ethic
  • Completion of ATSSA Flagger training course and Defensive Driver training
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions and traffic settings
